Submission Guidelines

• Your hack must be submitted as an IPS or BPS patch for legal reasons. Submitting a ROM will result in an instant rejection, and submitting ROMs when asked to stop will result in a ban.
• All hacks must be submitted on behalf of the creator, or something with permission to submit them. Any stolen content will be removed as soon as possible.
• Hacks should give the impression they’ve been well-tested. If you can softlock the game without glitches, or it crashes when played in any normal way, the game will be rejected.
• Similarly, all hacks should function in the most popular GBA emulators, and on real hardware. Emulator specific hacks are not accepted.
• We expect that all hacks have substance to them, and aren’t just lightly edited levels or sprite swaps. If the only changes made are to a couple of backgrounds or stages, the hack probably won’t be accepted.

AI-Generated Content

We are happy to accept hacks with content created by AI tools. However, any hack that uses AI-generated content in any form must state how AI has been used and what elements have been created with it.

So, if you used it for programming purposes, you would say “AI has been used for coding purposes” in the hack’s description. Same with graphics, music, level design, text, etc.
